...so it made me think!

Every one of us from time to time find ourselves becoming picky, convincing ourselves that sailing with a sail bigger than 6.0mtr will be boring and will not quench our thirst for a more and more adrenaline driven sailing experience.
I looked at the forcast for this week and my heart sunk when I just saw each day showing 14/15mph windspeeds. I even found my self filling my working week with other jobs that I would fill my time with. It was then I though.......... hold on, why not just try sailing light winds and see what it brings.
So today I rocked up to Wells with my 8.4mtr sail and 131 Carve I found in the used board rack. Got on the water and really felt weird holding onto a sail nearly 1/3 bigger than what I'm used to, but after 1/2 hour I found myself blasting along, racing other sailing buddies, and having a GREAT sail. 4 hours later, walking back with my kit, I admitted to myself I'd been naive, but think I'm not the only one who needs to review their light wind sailing opinion and 'smell the coffee'!!
