This is our Mecca every March for good wind and excellent progressive sea conditions. Don't think this location is too hard for you. We take low intermediates here!!

Jim Collis weekend @ Quayside

Jim Collis visited our test location Wells Next to Sea last weekend for our annual Jim Collis weekend clinic. With limited numbers aloud on the course to keep the tuition as personal as possible, 12 lucky customers were treated to 1 on 1 tuition from the Teachers teacher.

Saturday brought good wind for all to sharpen their technique in planing conditions with Sunday bringing light wind ( actually light winds ARE the best winds for learning new moves!).
Everyone commented on how only Jim can deliver the tuition in the calm, patient way most Quayside customers like.

BIG thanx to Ray who organised the clinic and was there to aid and encourage the students.

2009 Rrd Boards arrive!

It was just another day at the office until one of the other shop staff mentioned there were some board boxes outside. So I went out to see what it was.... and there they were. My demonstration Rrd boards had arrived. I unpacked my Freestyle wave 85Ltd, Freestyle wave 95Ltd and Freestyle wave 105 X-tech boards and man don't they look good.

The Ltd boards are lighter and have new awesome graphics, and the X-tech boards replace the 2008 full wood range, with higher grade composites making the board lighter, stronger and stiffer. Ltd's are £1250 - £1275 and the X-tech's are £945 - £999.

Sky Boy joins Rrd

So the man like Sky boy has joined the RRd Team Riders - thats fantastic. Sky Boy is one of those sailors who really pushes himself to the limit and his jumps are legendary. I met him at the end of July at the 2009 Ezzy sail launch, and he was so down to earth, giving me time to explain how the new twin fin Rrd boards really feel.......
