Well would you believe it........
...... once you do something different your competitors get upset.
Its been the Animal Windfest @ Poole and on Sunday night ( after just arriving at El Medano for the European Severne dealer meeting) I got a phone call from the UK importer of a board brand we sell.
" Neil, this is a damage limitation call" he said. "Oh yeh" whats up then" I said.
He went on to tell me how certain South coast windsurf shops have been looking at OUR site and getting very upset with the deals we offer and the level of service we promise. They wanted certain wording changed as it gave the impression we do the best deals in the UK - Hmmm, we DO!
Now some may say how sad is that, but do you know I take it as a compliment.
Its only when you have others losing their cool about how high you lift the bar you realise that, in fact, its your standard of service their trying to achieve and failing I guess - thus why the winging!!
....... so you know what I say to those south coast retailers. Is THIS universal!!
